Un projet d’éducation artistique.

DISCOGRAPHIE est un projet gratuit d’éducation artistique créé et offert par DHC/ART, en association avec REPLAY, une exposition de l’artiste Christian Marclay présentée à DHC/ART du 30 novembre 2008 au 29 mars 2009.

Les participants recevront une pochette vierge contenant un disque vinyle retiré de sa pochette originale. Il leur sera proposé de faire l’écoute de leur album et de s’en inspirer ensuite dans la création d’une pochette de disque. Ce projet propose un défi aux élèves, celui de refléter la représentation visuelle de la musique et s’inspirer d’un objet, un album sélectionné au hasard.

Les réalisations des participants seront exposées sur le site web relié au projet et dans des boîtes de disques situées dans l’espace éducatif pour la durée de l’exposition. Les participants et le public sont invités à aller voir les projets et écouter les disques.

An art education project

DISCOGRAPHIE is a free art education project created and offered by DHC/ART in conjunction with REPLAY, an exhibition by artist Chrisitan Marclay, presented at DHC/ART from November 30, 2008 to March 29, 2008.

Participants are given a blank white album cover containing a record that has been removed from its original cover. They are asked to listen to their album and create an album cover for the record they receive. This project challenges participants to reflect on the visual representation of sound and music and find inspiration in a randomly selected record.

The completed projects will be exhibited on the project website and in record boxes in the Education Space for the duration of the exhibition. Participants and the public are invited to view the projects and listen to the records.
