  • New at DHC/ART!

    January 18 2012

First off, we’d like to announce a new project that is very close to our heart – our new iPhone application! This application is one of the only ‘apps’ created by a contemporary art institution in Montreal. The entire team took part in this adventure to create a lively and convivial tool. On this app, our Founder and Director, Phoebe Greenberg speaks to you about her vision of the Foundation and our Curator, John Zeppetelli adds an analytic look at each of the works presented in the exhibition, Chronicles of a Disappearance.

And in further news that is extremely exciting for the Foundation, we are very proud to announce a new initiative that makes our education projects even more dynamic and interactive as well as helps to contribute to the understanding of current practices in contemporary art. The artistic projects presented for DHC/ART - Education in conjunction with each exhibition will be now conceived by a Montreal artist or collective. For this first project, Emmanuelle Léonard has accepted our invitation and will be the first artist to take part in this new project!

Don’t forget that the exhibition opens tomorrow and that our doors will be open to welcome you at noon!

  • Things are shaking at DHC/ART!

    September 23 2011

    Things are shaking at DHC/ART!

On September 29, the Musée d'art de Joliette will present, in collaboration with our Foundation and the Montreal Museum of Fine arts, the work of Alfredo Jaar; the screening of Les cendres de Pasolini (2009) will be followed by a conference from the artist.

We will also keep busy throughout the weekend of Journées de la culture. Our curator, John Zeppetelli, will offer guided tours on Friday, September 30. On Saturday and Sunday (Oct 1-2) we will host a creative workshop, DEUX, that allows participants to reflect upon the notions of beauty and ugliness. The culmination of the DEUX workshop will be a collective work. Don't miss it!
